Review: Quizno's - Roast Beef and Cheddar Sub

Quiznos' Roast Beef and Cheddar Deli Sub is part of their Everyday Value Deli Subs line and is currently sold for $5 for a large sandwich which is comparable to Subway's "$5 Footlongs" promotion.  The Roast Beef and Cheddar Sub features roast beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo toasted on your choice of artisan bread: Italian White, 9 Grain Artisan Wheat, Rosemary Parmesan, or Italian Herb.

Quizno touts their artisan bread as being fortified with "8 essential vitamins and minerals plus the antioxidants vitamin E and zinc."  As long as the bread is none the worse for it, I'm happy.
I was surprised at the fair amount of meat that I got; I really got a good taste for the beef and it had a nice texture.  As you can see it wraps around the interior of the bread.  I even wondered if they gave me double meat by mistake.

I didn't really taste the cheddar cheese though, which is weird.  The veggies were fresh and crisp and complemented the roast beef well in texture and in taste.

I chose the 9 Grain Artisan Wheat bread which I'm guessing is supposed to be healthier for you.  However, their menu doesn't say which nine grains are in the bread.  Nonetheless, it tasted good and toasty which is always a plus for healthy food.

Overall, this was a really good sandwich!  I definitely recommend the roast beef at Quiznos!
