Review: Starbucks - Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha

Starbucks' Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha is more dessert than drink and is made of espresso and steamed milk flavored with white chocolate and peppermint flavored syrups and then topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings.

The cost of admission is $3.75 for a Tall, $4.45 for a Grande, and $4.75 for a Venti.

You'll notice that unlike my previous holiday drinks, I made sure to get the requisite toppings and even managed to snap a shot before capping my drink. "Yay!" for me right?

It tastes like peppermint candy canes stirred into white chocolate, which is to say, it was very sweet; like candy almost. I really enjoyed the blend of white chocolate and peppermint (there should be a mass-marketed white chocolate peppermint bar for sale during the holiday season!), and especially liked the bits of dark chocolate flavor that the shaving intermittently provided.

Starbucks' Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha is my favorite of Starbucks' holiday drink line up this year, but I don't think I would ever get it larger than a Tall and might even consider a Short (8-ounces) considering how sweet it is. It's something like eating a king-sized candy bar.
