Review: Oreo - Mint Fudge Cremes

Oreo seems to be expanding its brand line a lot lately (I guess a little bit late in the day considering that Oreos have been around since 1912). The latest addition is the Oreo Mint Fudge Creme
which is basically a thin Oreo cookie with a mint flavored Oreo "creme" and a candy fudge coating. A 8.5-ounce box of 21 cookies costs about $3.79.

The Mint Fudge Creme is very similar to the Girl Scout Thin Mint in taste and form but are packaged a bit neater in a tray rather than a roll.
The ones I bought seemed to go stale rather fast and weren't as crisp as I would have liked. They feel more like a candy than a cookie with the thinness of the cookie and the amount of chocolate involved.
Still, if you're itching for some Thin Mints in the wrong part of the year, Oreo Mint Fudge Cremes have a cool mint flavor that will cure what ails you (well, provided what ails you is an out-of-season craving for Thin Mints).

  3. Store them in the freezer. They stay crispy, don't go stale, and taste Really Good when they're cold.
