Review: Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill

I'm pretty sure it used to be called the Grilled Chicken Sandwich or the like, but nowadays is called the Ultimate Chicken Grill (sounding more like an appliance than a sandwich) and is Wendy's standard grilled chicken sandwich falling into a premium slot at $3.99 a pop which is comparable to grilled chicken sandwiches elsewhere such as Burger King.

The Ultimate Chicken Grill consists of a premium corn-dusted bun sandwiching a grilled chicken filet, hand-leafed lettuce, a tomato slice or two and honey mustard sauce instead of the standard mayo. It is one of the healthier options on the Wendy's menu with only 7 grams of fat.
It tastes pretty good. The grilled chicken is fairly thick and juicy and seasoned with paprika and spices (a bit of garlic salt, pepper, and onion powder; fairly standard seasonings). It has just a little bit of sweetness to it. The lettuce and tomatoes are well proportioned to the chicken and bun and are usually fresh. The bun is a little bit denser than the norm and is squishy soft.
The honey mustard is an especially nice touch though a bit liquid. The sweetness and mustard flavor provide a different, but good, flavor than the normal mayo.

Overall, the Ultimate Chicken Grill is a tasty choice offered at Wendy's, especially if you're counting calories.
