Review: Sonic - Hot Fudge Shake

Sonic's Hot Fudge Shake is basically like a hot fudge sundae stuck into a blender and whipped into liquid form so that you can drink it. Like all shakes, the calories remain the same but you can eat it a lot faster and somewhat more absently. It might not be available at all Sonic's as it's not listed on the online menu.

A 14-ounce "regular" cup costs $2.79 while a 20-ounce "large" cup goes for $3.29.

There aren't any surprises here. Sonic's Hot Fudge Shake tastes like a vanilla shake with fudge syrup blended in i.e. like a blended hot fudge sundae sans the nuts and cherry.

I got sick of it drinking it after a while, partially from effort and partially because 20-ounces of fudge sundae is a lot to drink! Then again, I don't get sick of drinking 20-ounce ice-blended coffee drinks. They are quite a bit more liquid and not as rich though.
Overall, I like the separation of ingredients in a hot fudge sundae. Which is to say, I'd rather just have a hot fudge sundae over a hot fudge shake. With nuts on top please.
