International Weekend: Coppenrath - Classic Granzer Ringe

This week's International Weekend products hails from Germany: Coppenrath's Classic Granzer Ringe which is basically a ridge ringed shortbread cookie.

I picked up a 400g package for $2.99.

Each cookie is larger than normal and pretty crumbly (as shortbread tends to be). The flavor is pretty light and not too sweet.
These are made with palm oil which is often substituted for butter in the commercial food industry for its cheaper cost. This basically means it lacks the buttery flavor I prefer.
It's a decent cookie but I rather have the similar, but more buttery (well, if you buy the ones with made with butter... some are also made with palm oil which means they shouldn't really be calling them "butter cookies"), Danish butter cookie.
