News: Carl's Jr./Hardee's - New Hand-Breaded Chicken Fillet Sandwich

Declaring, "If Machines Can't Eat It, Machines Shouldn't Make It!", Carl's Jr and sister chain Hardee's herald in their new Hand-Breaded Chicken Fillet Sandwich where, like their Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders, the chicken fillet is freshly prepared, battered, and breaded by hand in each restaurant throughout the day.

The chicken is served on a sesame bun with the typical accouterments of tomato, lettuce, and mayo. The Hand-Breaded Chicken Fillet Sandwich is available for $3.99 alone or $6.49 in a combo with fries and a drink (prices may vary).

To go with the declaration, Carl's Jr and Hardee's made a commercial featuring a robot trying to eat the new sandwich. You can check out the extended spot after the jump.

  1. Obbop your comments are priceless, you always make me laugh. You're right, this isn't a bad commercial. Carl's Jr.'s commercials are probably 2nd only to Jack in the Box in my book. Well, to be honest Taco Bell has some funny ones too.

My brother tried this, he really liked it. He said it was what you would expect out of it, if you've had their hand-breaded tenders by themselves. Those are pretty good, so I bet this isn't bad too.

  2. Hardee's started out with excellent roast beef sandwiches and great fried chicken.  Then Carl's Jr bought them and it has been down hill ever since.  Their latest attempt at something better is another dismal failure.  Their commercials might be fun, but marketing does not produce a good product!
