Frozen Friday: Klondike - What the Fudge? Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches

Klondike's new What the Fudge? Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches feature vanilla ice cream with a dollop of chocolate fudge inside sandwiches by two pieces of brownie.

They come in a box of four for about about $5 or between $2 and $3 on sale.

I have to say I dig the brownies. They're slightly gooey and soft with a deeper chocolate flavor than the standard ice cream sandwich. One you get to the fudge core, it's a bit fudgy overkill with the liquid fudge and brownie combined for those one or two bites in the middle.
I'm a big fan of ice cream sandwiches in general and using brownies just offers a richer experience. The brownies meshes very well with the vanilla ice cream.

It's very much like brownie a la mode but with a slightly different no-fork-needed-form.
I think I'd like it even better without the fudge core though.

  1. From my experience, there seem to be two ways to fix the fudge core in these. They should either spread it out more evenly as a layer on one brownie as opposed to a nugget through the ice cream or they should remove it all together.
