Review: Carl's Jr. - Sunrise Croissant

Carl's Jr.'s Sunrise Croissant is basically your standard run-of-the-mill breakfast sandwich (bacon or sausage, egg and cheese) but on a croissant.

My local Carl's Jr has them for a promotion price of 99 cents but they regularly cost $2.49.

I'm not sure if it's because of the promotional price or not but my Sunrise Croissant came with a very thin layer of filling. There were two thin slices of bacon, a very thin layer of eggs (the thinnest fast food egg I've ever had actually), and some melted cheese.
It wasn't all that flavorful and is probably the bottom rung of croissant sandwiches I've had but then again, it's also the cheapest croissant breakfast sandwich I've had as well.

Interestingly, the croissant is more of a croissant bun and is specially made into a bun shape with two halves. It was just passable and not very buttery.
I really think the promotional price had something to do with the general lack of sandwich to my Sunrise Croissant. I'd be pretty disappointed at $2.49 but for 99 cents I won't complain too much.
