International Weekend: Delacre Roule d'Or

Delacre Roule d'Or hail from France and feature crisp fluted crepe cookies baked till golden.

A 7.1-ounce box cost me $2.79 at a local market.

If you've never tried these, you should definitely give it a go.
Taste-wise, these are buttery cookies with a touch of vanilla. But they're more of a texture food. Roule d'Or have a thin crepe texture but very crisp; almost like they're lightly fried. They have a little bit of that melt-in-your-mouth crumble as well.

They're a bit fancy and great for guests and/or tea (or to hoard and slowly enjoy by yourself!).

  1. "Royal Moments"

Pardon an Old Coot's mental meanderings but the product name demands I ponder that cutie the Brit prince or whatever chap married recently.

    A cutie she be.

And I can only imagine a "Royal Moment"

    I better stop here.
