News: Chick-fil-A - New Grilled Chicken Nuggets for Better Kid's Meal Nutrition

Chick-fil-A is out with new Grilled Chicken Nuggets as a Kid's Meal entree option. The new nuggets are gluten-free and made with boneless, skinless chicken breast pieces tossed in a salt and pepper spice blend before grilling.

Amid concerns of obesity, many fast food chains have opted to offer healthier menu items especially for kids (such as McDonald's and Arby's) so in addition to the new Grilled Chicken Nuggets, Chick-fil-A is also offering Apple & Cinnamon flavored Buddy Fruits Pure Blended Fruit To Go apple sauce as a side option (in addition to the current options of a fruit cup or fries).

It also looks like Chick-fil-A is taking off soda as a featured drink option for its Kid's Meals leaving customers to choose from: 1% milk, apple juice, freshly-squeezed lemonade, and water as drink options.

The nutrition for a 6-piece Grilled Chicken Nuggets (110 calories) Kid's Meal with Buddy Fruits applesauce (60 calories), and 1% milk (90 calories) is as follows:

Calories - 260 (from Fat - 45)
Fat - 4g (Saturated Fat - 2g)
Sodium - 945mg
Carbs - 26g (Sugar - 25g)
Protein - 32g

You can check out the nutritional information on different Kid's Meal combinations on Chick-fil-A's website here.
