Review: H.K. Anderson - Popcorn Style Pretzel Balls

I'd never heard of H.K. Anderson pretzel until I saw this mini bag of Popcorn Style Pretzel Balls at my brother's place. They've been around since 1888 and started in Pennsylvania so they must know something about pretzels.

I grabbed this .9-ounce bag from my brother's place. I think they're supposed to be for my nephew to snack on. He's only two so I'm sure he won't notice a bag missing...

I'm not sure I would describe these as "Popcorn Style." They're more like malt balls (like Whoppers) to me. They have a satisfying audible pop when you bite into them like malt balls. The pretzel balls are slightly smaller though.
Beyond that they're very much like regular pretzels but with more of the crumb. They're salty but overly so.
It's a good thing these were only a .9-ounce bag, because it'd be pretty easy to absent-mindedly polish off a larger bag of these.
