News: Burger King - New BK Bacon Burger

Burger King BK Bacon Burger.
In what looks to be an unheralded add to the value menu, Burger King now serves the BK Bacon Burger.

The BK Bacon Burger is simple enough; it features a flame-broiled beef patty, thick-cut hardwood-smoked bacon, mayo, ketchup, and sliced white onions on a toasted sesame seed bun.

It's about the same size as a Burger King Cheeseburger.

  1. "Thick hardwood smoked bacon"

My suspicious part of me wonders if that flavor claiming to be from smoke rising above burning slabs of thick wood actually comes from added chemicals.

And "thick" is a relative term. IF the bacon was actually placed atop the smoke rising from burning hardwood does it matter if the wood hunks are thick or thin or merely shavings or.... perhaps, in an effort to conserve and not waste any portion of a killed once-living tree casting its wonderful shade upon the living critters below and providing a home for innumerable critters medium-sized and smaller, sawdust procured from the tree processing plant?

So many questions but so very little available data.
