News: 7-Eleven Upgrades Sandwiches

7-Eleven is bolstering their sandwich line up with two new premium sandwiches: the Steakhouse Roast Beef and the Bistro Deluxe. The move is part of an effort by the convenience store chain to offer more fresh foods to better compete with not only retail store competitors, but fast food chains as well.

The Steakhouse Roast Beef Sandwich features sliced roast beef, crumbles of blue cheese, mayonnaise, baby spinach, and tomatoes on marble rye bread.

The Bistro Deluxe Sandwich comes with Black Forest ham, Genoa salami, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and Dijon mustard on Asiago bread.

Each sandwich carries a suggested retail price of $4.29 and to promote them, until the end of this month, 7-Eleven is offering a free 16-ounce bottled Pepsi drink when you buy any sandwich.

The sandwiches are made fresh daily in local FDA-inspected kitchens and delivered to participating locations.
