News: Arby's to Offer House-made Potato Chips

Arby's plans to offer House-Made Potato Chips nationwide starting in May or June according to NRN. The chips have already been tested in several markets.

To give the chips some distinctive Arby's flavor, an Arby's Sauce-flavored powdered seasoning can be added (personally, I think they should offer a Horsey Sauce-flavored seasoning).

The addition of house-made potato chips would certainly give Arby's a unique offering among major fast food chains, while also one upping Subway, who serves bagged chips, and who Arby's has recently targeted with their "Slicing Up Freshness" tagline and marketing campaign.

The move would also harken back to the chain's humble beginnings, when the menu was a simple offering of roast beef sandwiches, potato chips, and iced tea.

  3. Tried these today, coworker bought them. I was the only one of the 5 who could even finish one chip. They are alright, really crunchy but I was not fond of the "arby's sauce seasoning". Mostly to me it was flavors you couldn't identify, not really enjoyable.
