Around the World: KFC Singapore - New Deep-Fried Shrimp Pasta Roll

They call it the Cheesy Pasta Shrimp. At KFC Singapore, it's their latest, new limited-time offer and is basically pieces of shrimp, pasta, and cheese, shaped into a cylindrical roll before battered and deep-fried.

Interestingly, it's seems to be something they've offered before, although with slightly different fillings.

In 2011, they unveiled the Pasta Shrimp Snacker, shrimp and pasta with a tomato-based sauce wrapped in a batter and fried till crisp and golden brown.

In 2008, they offered the Pasta Shrimp Cheez, which was basically deep-fried mac and cheese mixed with shrimp chunks.

The latest Shrimp Pasta (Pasta Shrimp) item is offered with fries and a drink in a Snackers box for $3.95 SG (~$3.12 US).

Frying up shrimp has been an ongoing trend for KFC in Singapore; last year, they were offering Shrimp Stars and Fish Donuts.

In addition to the new Cheesy Pasta Shrimp, KFC Singapore is also offering new Spicy Roasta Drumlets, which are basically spicy, glazed roasted chicken wing drumlettes.
