News: Baskin-Robbins - September 2013 Flavor of the Month

Baskin-Robbins offers up German Chocolate Cake ice cream as their flavor of the month for September.

The flavor features Swiss chocolate ice cream with coconut, walnut pieces, milk chocolate brownie pieces, and a caramel ribbon.

You can get it by the scoop (cup or cone) and in hand-packed pints and quarts. It's also being showcased in a German Chocolate Cake Waffle Bowl Sundae, which consists of two scoops of German Chocolate Cake ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, chopped almonds, and a cherry in a freshly-baked waffle bowl.

On the limited-time deal side of things, participating Baskin-Robbins shops are offering a Wednesday-only offer for a free "Build Your Own" Two-Scoop Sundae of equal or lesser value when you buy one (of greater or equal value). New York metro locations will offer the same promotion but on Tuesdays instead, while locations in Washington, Oregon, Montana, and most of Idaho will specifically not be participating.

Baskin-Robbins is also offering a coupon for a "Buy One, Get One for 99 cents" 31 Below soft serve treat on their Facebook page through the end of September. 31 Below is basically Baskin-Robbins' answer to McDonald's McFlurry or Dairy Queen's Blizzard, which is to say it's vanilla soft serve with a selection of candy and cookies to mix in.
