Review: Pumpkin Spice M&M's Candy

Pumpkin Spice M&M's are pumpkin spice-flavored chocolate M&M's. They're new and only available at Target for a limited time.

A 9.90-ounce bag was $2.50 on sale.

For whatever reason, flavored solid-chocolate M&M's (as opposed to filled ones such as Peanut and Pretzel) are fatter and bigger than Plain M&M's (maybe so your friends can't sneak coconut-flavored ones into your plain ones?).  Regardless, there's more chocolate per M&M in these than you'd find in a smaller Plain M&M.

Being a fall flavor, these come in green, orange, and brown only.

They taste like chocolate with a crisp candy shell and a note of sweet pumpkin spice flavor (probably nutmeg and cinnamon). Being that pumpkin itself is a fairly light flavor, you could easily called these "spiced chocolate M&M's" but the spirit of the season demands "pumpkin spice."

Overall, Pumpkin Spice M&M's are pretty nice and hits a sweet spot between the chocolate and pumpkin spice flavor. The spice flavor isn't too heavy that you forget about the chocolate but is strong enough so you notice that these aren't regular M&M's.
