Review: M&M's White Chocolate Peppermint Candies

M&M's White Chocolate Peppermint candies are a seasonal holiday twists on the popular chocolates. They appear to be a Target exclusive (I haven't spotted them anywhere else).

A 9.90-ounce bag was $2.89 at Target.

As I opened the bag, there was a pretty strong peppermint aroma that wafted out.

The candies inside only come in red or white; to mimic the colors of a candy cane I suppose. Like other flavored M&M's, they look like bloated and enlarged Plain M&M's, or conversely, slightly-slimmed Peanut M&M's.

Like every M&M, there's the thin and crispy candy shell but with added peppermint flavor. Underneath is a center of white chocolate rather than milk chocolate and it is also peppermint flavored.. Combined with the creamy white chocolate, the candy had me thinking butter mints (which I love!). The peppermint flavor lingers much like a candy cane or peppermint candy.

Overall, I really liked M&M's White Chocolate Peppermint candies. There's basically like candy-coated butter mints with a few notes of white chocolate.
