News: KFC - New Extra Crispy Boneless Chicken

KFC welcomes the new year with new, limited-time Extra Crispy Boneless Chicken.

Available through February 2, 2014, the new chicken is crispier than Original Recipe Boneless and features a different spice mix.

In addition to getting it in lieu of KFC's bone-in fried chicken, they're also promoting it as part of a $2.49 Go Cup (one piece plus a side of wedges).

The introduction of the new chicken also marks the launch of a new marketing campaign for the fried chicken chain that takes some of its cues from sister chain Taco Bell (see @TacoBell). It looks like they're going for a 'authentic' user-generated feel (i.e. self-shot with a iPhone camera) with unscripted videos featuring improvisational actors. They're also turning themselves into a verb and asking "#HowDoYouKFC?" At the very least, the ads work better than the previous "I ate the bones!" that introduced Original Recipe Boneless.
