Review: Starbucks - Old-Fashioned Donut

Starbucks' Old-Fashioned Donut is made with sour cream and comes with a light glaze.

It's among the cheapest items in the bakery display at $1.50 a piece.

The Old-Fashioned Donut is a light cake donut that veers more toward store-bought than donut shop. I would call it "store-bought plus" because while similar, it is a step above. Mostly because it feels fresher and they warm it up for you. The oven gave it just the slightest bit of a crust and helped with the fresh feeling, although mine fell apart a little after being warmed.

Overall, if you're at Starbucks and want that classic donut and coffee combo, the Old-Fashioned is the way to go. The glaze adds sweetness to your coffee and the crumb is primed for dipping. If you just want the donut by itself, it's still pretty good, especially if you like store-bought old-fashioned donuts.
