News: 7-Eleven Adds New Kolaches in Texas

In another edition of "Where's mine?!" 7-Eleven now offers Kolaches, but only in Texas. Technically klobasniky, 7-Eleven's Kolaches come in two varieties: Pork and Beef Sausage, and Pork and Beef Sausage with Jalapeno and Cheddar.

Actual kolaches are fruit-filled pastries originating from Czechoslovakia and mostly found here in the U.S. in Czech-American enclaves, which includes certain towns in Texas. Klobasniky on the other hand, were created by Czech-Texan bakers. They're similar to pigs in a blanket.

7-Eleven Kolaches are available in about 450 participating 7-Eleven stores with hot-food displays in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, and San Antonio areas.

The suggested retail price for a 4-oz Kolache is $1.69 for one or two for $3.
