Review: Carl's Jr. - Sea Salt & Caramel Shake

Carl's Jr.'s new Sea Salt & Caramel Shake features hand-scooped vanilla ice cream blended with caramel syrup and sea salt toffee crumbles, topped with whipped cream.

My local Carl's Jr. offers them for $3.39 but I received this one courtesy of Carl's Jr.

If you like a shake that almost literally tastes like a salty caramel candy, this might be for you. It was very sweet, quite salty, and pretty creamy.

Beyond the salty and sweet, was a fairly intense note of buttery caramel. And, this is before I got to the sea salt toffee crumbles, which kick it up a notch while providing little bits of crunchiness.

The shake had a good consistency to it; not too thick or thin and easy enough to drink with a straw.

Overall, Carl's Jr.'s Sea Salt & Caramel Shake was almost overwhelming in flavor. You will definitely not wonder if the salt or caramel went missing somewhere. After a couple sips, I was pretty good on caramel for a while.
