Frozen Friday: Lean Cuisine - Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels

Lean Cuisine's Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels feature pretzel bites stuffed with provolone, Asiago, parmesan, and spinach.

I picked up a 7-oz box for $2 on sale.

Each box comes with two snack-sized pouches with four stuffed pretzels in each. The bites are about twice the size of a Totino's Pizza Roll.

These turn out pretty decently out of the microwave, by which I mean they don't feel soggy or overly soft and chewy. The crust didn't taste like pretzel bread at all. It didn't have that distinctive flavor and just tasted like a plain soft and dense bread. It also didn't have the little flecks on salt on the box, or maybe they all just fell off in the pouch.

Inside, there was a surprising amount of spinach and the flavor definitely made itself known, which is great if you like spinach. The cheese was actually the secondary flavor. It was thoroughly melted and pretty tasty.

Overall, Lean Cuisine's Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Pretzels were pretty good. I liked the melty spinach and cheese combo, but the pretzel taste and feel was MIA. It reminds me a little of a mini Hot Pocket.
