News: Del Taco - New $4 Fresca Bowls

Del Taco introduces new $4 Fresca Bowls, their nod to burrito bowls, available in three varieties for when you want a burrito, but could do without the flour tortilla.

Each bowl comes with a bed of fresca lime rice and seasoned black beans, but then offers a bit of variety depending on which option you choose:

- Southwest Grilled Chicken & Veggie Bowl - grilled chicken, fire-roasted red and green bell peppers, roasted corn, caramelized onions, and poblano peppers.

- Pollo Asado Grilled Chicken Bowl -grilled chicken, pico de gallo, onions, and cilantro.

- Fire Roasted Veggie Bowl - a blend of roasted vegetables including red and green bell peppers and corn, plus a tangy green chile sauce, and pico de gallo.

Del Taco touts that each of the chicken bowls comes with 4.5 ounces of grilled chicken (I believe Taco Bell's bowls come with 3 ounces and Chipotle's bowls come with 4 ounces roughly).

As an added incentive, Del Taco is offering a free small drink (20 ounces) with the purchase of any Fresca Bowl at participating locations, through September 14 (prices may vary).
