News: Taco Bell - Country and California Versions of A.M. Crunchwrap Are Coming

Taco Bell is planning to launch two new versions of the A.M. Crunchwrap later this year. Looking to bring more regional flavors to bear, the portable A.M. Crunchwrap will be available in a California and a Country version.

The California A.M. Crunchwrap taps into the chain's West Coast roots with a one-two punch of guacamole and pico de gallo. Inside you'll also find bacon pieces, a hashbrown, eggs, and shredded cheddar cheese in a pressed/grilled flour tortilla folded so that you can single fist it while on the go.

The Country A.M. Crunchwrap takes inspiration from Southern cuisine with a combination of sausage and country gravy, plus a hashbrown patty, eggs, and cheddar cheese.

One of the ideas behind the new items was to provide guacamole and gravy in a relatively non-messy package.

The suggested price will be $2.79 for the California A.M. Crunchwrap and $2.49 for Country A.M. Crunchwrap. Both items were tested locally in select Orange County and Los Angeles restaurants earlier this year and are set to arrive in the not-so-far future (mid-October).

I got to preview them both recently and will share my thoughts in an upcoming post, so stay tuned!
