Frozen Friday: Sonic - Snickers & Caramel Waffle Sundae

Sonic's Snickers & Caramel Waffle Sundae features vanilla ice cream in a large waffle cone topped with Snickers candy bar pieces, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry.

These go for $2.89 each, but I received this one courtesy of Sonic.

You can probably guess from the components that this isn't too different from your standard Sunday. They forgot my whipped cream and cherry though (not a huge deal for me, but some people would probably take issue).

The best container toppings-wise for a sundae is a wide shallow dish. A long, tapered waffle cone is more like a small sundae on top, plus an ice cream cone on the bottom.

The ice cream was plentiful and creamy with a light vanilla flavor. The chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and nougat combo of the Snickers pieces added a lot of variety and was accented by the light flavor of the caramel sauce.

The waffle cone looked a bit too light and under-baked, but it was actually crunchy and had a light sweetness to it.

Overall, Sonic's Snickers & Caramel Waffle Sundae was pretty good, especially if you want a better version of the packaged sundae cones you find in the frozen food aisle. It might not have enough toppings for some though; maybe they should have an ice cream nachos version with waffle cone chips?
