Frozen Friday: Edwards Pumpkin Creme Pie

Edwards' Pumpkin Creme Pie features a spiced vanilla cookie crumb crust layered with cream cheese and pumpkin filling, topped off with whipped cream.

I bought a 25.9-oz pie for $5.99 on sale.

There are little bits of crunchiness to the fairly thick, dense crust. The crust's flavor reminds a bit of gingerbread and is pretty nice.

The pumpkin and cream cheese portions are whipped up and mousse-like. With the primary layer, there's a strong dose of spice on top of a mellow pumpkin flavor. It feels a lot like eating a airy rendition of pumpkin pie with a lot of whipped cream.

The cream cheese is similarly light and fluffy, while providing a slight bit of a tang.

Between the filling, the whipped cream, and the crust, the pie might be a little too sweet for some.

Overall, Edwards' Pumpkin Creme Pie offers a lighter, fluffier version of the traditional fall dessert. It's good but might be a little too heavy on the spice and sweetness.
