Subway 2014 November Specials - New Simple $6 Menu

It looks like Subway is doing away with the Featured $5 Footlong altogether, at least for this month anyway.

All mention of $5 Footlongs have been removed from the Subway website, which suggests that there will no longer be any national $5 Footlongs (although I would guess a number of local franchisees will keep it around regionally).

Instead, the sandwich chain introduces the new Simple $6 Menu for November. Instead of a $5 Footlong, you get a $6 combo meal. The Simple $6 meal includes a choice of a six-inch sub from a limited selection, a bag of chips, and a 21-oz fountain drink.

The sub selection includes the Sweet Onion Teriyaki, Italian B.M.T., Turkey Breast, Tuna, Meatball Marinara, and Black Forest Ham.

Rather than a limited-time deal, Subway has indicated that the Simple $6 Menu is a permanent part of the menu (although price and participation may still vary). Of course if it doesn't do well, they can always go back to featuring the $5 Footlong nationally again.

Also new for November is the limited time return of the Big Hot Pastrami Sandwich. It features a base of dry-rubbed, pepper-crusted pastrami along with the standard choices of bread, veggies, cheese, and condiments. The company's recommended configuration is to get it with the traditional pickles and mustard.

Just in time for the holidays, they've also brought back fresh-baked Gingerbread Cookies (you can read my review of them here).
