Taco Bell Working on a New "Quesalupa"

Taco Bell is working on a new dish called the "Quesalupa." Ostensibly a quesadilla crossed with a Chalupa, I haven't been able to pick up too much information regarding the possibly upcoming menu item but have reached out to Taco Bell for comment (I'll keep you guys updated if I hear anything back).

Here's what I've been able to put together so far:

I mentioned last week that I'd discuss the Cheesy Gordita Crunch-like item that appeared during a Taco Bell investor presentation and it appears that it's a Quesalupa. From the looks of it, the Quesalupa features a grilled flour tortilla stuck onto the outer surface of a standard Chalupa. Basically, it's a little like the Chalupa version of a Cheesy Gordita Crunch but with the layers switched up a little.

I haven't yet heard or found anything regarding a test, but I'd expect it to test sometime next year. Taco Bell has already filed a trademark application for "Quesalupa."

Taco Bell already has a dish on the menu called the "Quesarito," which is a quesadilla-wrapped burrito.
