Frozen Friday: McDonald's - Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade features lemonade base (water, sugar, lemon juice concentrate, lemon pulp, and plant-sourced natural flavor) blended with sweetened strawberry concentrate, strawberries, and ice.

I bought a 16-oz small for $1.79.

There was a decent ice slush consistency to the drink, although it separated/melted fairly quickly leaving you with ice on top and concentrate settling down to the bottom.

Like the last iteration, there's a definite concentrate flavor to the drink, particularly in regards to the lemonade base. I'm not a fan of that distinct concentrate tang and particularly here, it adds a mouth-puckering sour aftertaste to every sip.

The strawberries came in as a bit of an afterthought with hints of it here and there. I could use a lot more of it, or failing that, just some strawberry syrup would be great (although they seem to be going for a more "natural" drink this time around).

Overall, McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade was a miss for me mostly due to the strong lemonade concentrate aftertaste and relatively weak strawberry flavor.
