Starbucks Expands Cold Brew Option Nationwide

Starbucks now offers new cold brew coffee as a core menu option nationwide. It was previously introduced in select parts of the U.S. earlier this year.

The addition brings Starbucks iced coffee count up to 3 different brewing methods (espresso, drip, and now, cold brew).

Starbucks cold brew coffee is made in small batches by steeping coffee grinds in cool, filtered water for 20 hours.

It's served unsweetened by default and the company describes the flavor as "smooth, aromatic, full-bodied" with "chocolate flavors with notes of citrus."

Compared to their brewed iced coffee, a 12-oz Tall of cold brew goes for $2.75 at a local Starbucks versus $2.25 for the same size cup of brewed iced coffee.
