KFC Adds $20 Family Fill Up Meal and New Colonel

This month, KFC adds a family-sized version of their popular $5 Fill Up with the new, limited-time $20 Family Fill Up. They've also added a new actor to play Colonel Sanders.

The $20 Family Fill up includes 8 pieces of Original Recipe fried chicken, two large orders of mashed potatoes and gravy, one large coleslaw, and four buttermilk biscuits for $20.

Even though it's only been several months since Darrell Hammon was tapped to play the Colonel in KFC advertising, the brand has now introduced fellow Saturday Night Live alum Norm Macdonald to play the "Real" Colonel Sanders in several ad spots.

Kevin Hochman, chief marketing officer for KFC, had this to say about the selection, "“Other than not quite looking like him, his voice being different, and his inability to cook the world’s best chicken, we thought Norm was the perfect choice to play the Real Colonel. I think the fans will agree."

Is this a set up for a Colonel showdown? Or is KFC setting to run through a turnstile of actors to play the historical figure?

Here's a clip of Norm Macdonald as the Colonel:
