Starbucks Launches Protein-Fortified Beast Mode Frappuccino

Starbucks partners up with pro football player Marshawn Lynch to come up with the new Beast Mode Frappuccino, which will help benefit underprivileged youth.

The Seattle Seahawks running back took to the company's test lab to come up with a double chocolate Frappuccino with protein powder plus a hint of mint and cream, topped with whipped cream, a purple berry drizzle, and a sprinkle of matcha green tea.

The new drink will go on sale starting October 22, 2015. For every Beast Mode Frappuccino sold during the football session in Washington (where the Seattle Seahawks are based) as well as Oakland, CA (Marshawn Lynch's hometown), Starbucks will donate 24 cents (to coincide with Lynch's jersey number), up to $100,000 (and at least a minimum of $24,000), to the Fam 1st Family Foundation, a charity found by Lynch and Buffalo Bills quarterback Joshua Johnson to build self-esteem and academic learning skills in underpriviledged youth.

Beast Mode is Marshawn Lynch's trademark nickname given due to his aggressive running style.
