McDonald's Italy Serving New Deep-Fried Stuffed Olives

As part of their locally-themed, limited-time McItaly menu, McDonald's is now offering battered and deep-fried, meat-stuffed olives in Italy.

This dish, Olive all'Ascolana, represent a regional dish that is served throughout Italy as an appetizer.

In addition to the olives, the fast food chain is also featuring a number of other menu items on this year's McItaly menu, including:

- Trio of Vegetables - Similar to Japanese vegetable tempura, it features lightly-battered and fried zucchini, eggplant, and peppers.

- Zuppa Inglese McFlurry - Zuppa Inglese is a dessert of layered sponge cake and custard. The Zuppa Inglese McFlurry finds pieces of it mixed into McDonald's soft server.

- Panettone Tiramisu - Tiramisu topped with candied fruit, raisins, and toasted almonds.

The menu is also anchored by the new McItaly Chianna featuring locally-sourced beef, lettuce, cheese, and bread.

Additionally, a trio of local beers is also being served.
