Review: Starbucks - All the Trimmings Breakfast Sandwich

Starbucks' All the Trimmings Breakfast Sandwich features sliced maple-glazed ham, an apple sausage patty, apple-sage stuffing, and savory maple glaze on a buttery bun.

I paid $4.95 for one.

Beyond the sausage patty, the All the Trimming Breakfast Sandwich doesn't really feel like a breakfast sandwich given the lack of egg and cheese.

Between all the apple and maple glaze, the sandwich comes across as being rather sweet.

The ham dried out somewhat from when they warmed the sandwich; one thicker slice probably would have fared better than the two thin slices they provided. The sausage turned out much better with a juicy, soft, slightly-spongy texture.

The stuffing contributed a nice herbiness and flavor but was soggy and paste-like with fairly little to go around.

I really liked the bun. It's basically an over-sized, crusty, buttery dinner roll. I could easily see myself enjoying it with some butter and/or jam.

Overall, I half-liked Starbucks' All the Trimmings Breakfast Sandwich. I liked the bun and sausage patty but didn't care the ham, the texture of the stuffing, and the excessive maple sweetness. Between the sausage and the ham, there was already enough sweetness that they could have gone with some gravy to balance it out.
