Review: Starbucks - Starbucks Spiced Sweet Cream Cold Brew

Starbucks' Spiced Sweet Cream Cold Brew is new this holiday season and features cold brew coffee mixed with cinnamon, anise, nutmeg, and vanilla flavors (a combination mulling spice syrup and vanilla syrup) and topped with a splash of house-made sweet cream.

I picked up a 31-oz Trenta for $3.95 (mostly because a 12-oz Tall was already $3.25 so for 70 cents more...).

While it might be too cold in more wintry areas, a holiday-themed iced drink works out quite well in the fall and winter here in Los Angeles.

This is basically Starbucks' Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew but with the addition of mulling spice syrup. You get the same smooth coffee flavor tinged with a lightly sweet creaminess plus a familiar dose of holiday spices. It's like pumpkin spice but without the pumpkin and maybe a third of the sweetness.

Starbucks Spiced Sweet Cream Cold Brew is ideal for those who want the familiar holiday/pumpkin spices but find other Starbucks holiday drinks too sweet (or calorie-laden). I enjoyed it very much.
