Taco Bell Introduces New Queso as Key Ingredient of New Steakhouse Menu

Taco Bell debuts new Queso as the key feature to their new, limited-time Steakhouse Burrito and Steakhouse Nachos.

The new Queso cheese dip features fire-roasted green chilies, onions, jalapenos, tomatillos, cheese, and a hint of cayenne. According to the chain, they came up with over 20 versions before coming up with what they're calling "the perfect combination of sharp and creamy indulgence balanced with good spice and acidity from the peppers and spices."

The dip's introduction marks the first time that the chain has ever offered queso nationwide. At least one version of the dip and the burrito were spotted testing earlier this year (back then they were calling it the "Boss Burrito."

The Steakhouse Burrito includes a double portion of grilled marinated steak, potato bites, bacon, sour cream, three-cheese blend, and queso wrapped up in a flour tortilla.

Steakhouse Nachos consist of a large tray of tortilla chips topped with a double portion grilled marinated steak, queso sauce, pico de gallo, sour cream, refried beans, guacamole, and three cheese blend.

Both the burrito and chips can also be ordered with chicken or seasoned ground beef instead of steak.

Prices for the burrito start $4.99 for beef, $5.79 for chicken, and $5.99 for steak (prices may vary). The nachos go for $5.19 for the beef version, $5.99 for the chicken version, and $6.19 for the steak version.

Chips & Queso are also available for $1.29.
