Taco Bell Debuts New $1 Double Stacked Tacos

Taco Bell's latest value foray sees the debut of new $1 Double Stacked Tacos on December 22, 2016. Like the Double Decker Taco, the new, limited-time tacos feature both a hard crunchy shell and a soft tortilla.

Double Stacked Tacos come in three flavors that bring together two opposing flavors and/or textures:

- Cool Habanero - A crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, sour cream, lettuce, and cheese nestled in a flour tortilla with a layer of melted cheese and habanero sauce in between.

- Nacho Crunch  - The same classic Crunchy Taco combination but with crunchy red tortilla strips instead of sour cream. It's also placed in a flour tortilla but with a layer of melted cheese and nacho cheese sauce in between the two.

- Spicy Sweet - The same Crunchy Taco but with sweet chili rather than sour cream or tortilla strips and is layered with the same melted cheese and habanero sauce as the Cool Habanero Double Stacked Taco.

The Habanero sauce features heat from habanero pepper, guajillo peppers, garlic, ancho chili pepper, and paprika, paired with tangy notes from lime and vinegar.

Sweet Chili offers "sweet with a hint of heat" and features garlic, cayenne pepper, and red bell peppers.
