New Cadbury Creme Egg-Like Oreo Eggs Coming in February

Oreo is set to offer their own take on Cadbury Creme Eggs with the impending launch of new Oreo Eggs.

Similar to Cadbury Creme Eggs, Oreo Eggs will sport a chocolate shell with a creme filling interspersed with Oreo cookie pieces.

According to Thrillist, the new candy product is set to arrive in mid-February but will not be made in partnership with Cadbury and will not contain Cadbury chocolate.

The decision to forgo a collaboration with Cadbury might be a little confusing to those of you who know that both Nabisco and Cadbury are currently subsidiaries of Mondelez International (formerly known as Kraft Foods). However, similar to their rights regarding Nestle's Kit-Kat and Reese's brands, Hershey's holds the US rights to produce Cadbury chocolates, which makes such a partnership a bit more difficult.

My guess is Oreo Eggs will probably be made with Milka (another Mondelez brand) chocolate given the recent US launch of Milka Oreo chocolate bars late last year.
