Starbucks Debuts Very Limited-Time, Color-Changing "Unicorn" Frappuccino

Citing unicorn-themed food and drinks appearing on social media as inspiration, Starbucks joins the trend with the launch of the new Unicorn Frappuccino, available for a fairly brief window starting tomorrow April 19 and running through April 23, 2017.

The new drink features sweet pink powder blended into a creme Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a sour blue drizzle. It's garnished with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping.

To add some unicorn "magic," the Unicorn Frappuccino starts off as a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a sweet and fruity flavor but when stirred, changes into more of a pink drink with more tangy and tart notes.

As noted, the new frosty beverage is available through Sunday, April 23, 2017, while supplies last at participating Starbucks locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Update 4/19/17 - In case you're wondering, the pink powder is a blend of sugar (dextrose) with fruit and vegetable powders for color, while the sour blue powder is mostly citric acid with spiralina and sugar. Finally, the blue drizzle is a combination of white chocolate mocha sauce, classic syrup, and sour blue powder.
