New Queso Blanco Lands at Del Taco

Del Taco upgrades their nacho cheese with the introduction of new Queso Blanco at locations nationwide starting Thursday, August 31, 2017.

The new cheese sauce, which replaces nacho cheese across the menu, is made with cheese, milk, jalapenos, and heavy cream and with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. It's being featured in a new menu item: the Queso Crunch Taco.

The Queso Crunch Taco (suggested price - $1.79) takes the Del Taco (seasoned beef, lettuce, cheddar cheese, and diced tomatoes in a crunchy taco shell) and places it in a warm flour tortilla with a layer of Queso Blanco in between to hold it together. Basically, it's Del Taco's rendition of Taco Bell's Double Decker (or, more recently, Double Stacked Tacos).

You can also find the Queso in a number of menu items, including:

- Chips & Queso Dip ($1.29) - House-made tortilla chips with a side of Queso Blanco.

- Queso Sauce Side ($1.00) - A cup of Queso Blanco.

- Queso Bean Burrito ($1.29) - Slow-cooked beans, Queso Blanco, and grated cheddar cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.

- Queso Loaded Nachos ($5.79) -  House-made tortilla chips topped with slow-cooked beans, Queso Blanco, diced tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, sour cream, and a choice of either seasoned beef, grilled chicken, or grilled carne asada.

- Queso Fries ($3.79) - Crinkle-cut fries topped with Queso Blanco and grated cheddar cheese.

Additionally, you can add Queso Blanco to any menu item for 50 cents (may vary).
