Starbucks Debuts New Sushi Burrito Exclusively at Two Chicago Stores

Starbucks offers a new sushi burrito that they're calling the "Chicken Maki Roll" exclusively at two newly opened locations in Chicago.

Describing it as "a classic California chicken burrito with a twist," the Chicken Maki Roll features slow-cooked, shredded chicken, fire-roasted tomatillo salsa, lime crema, fresh cucumber, and pickled cabbage with onions, avocado, and crispy onion, rolled up with sushi rice and nori (dried seaweed).

A sushi burrito is basically an uncut roll of sushi.

The Chicken Maki Roll is a new, expanded part of the recently-introduced Mercato lunch menu the chain is serving at select stores in Chicago and Seattle. Other new Mercato items exclusive to the two stores include:

- Chimichurri Chicken & Manchego Cheese Sandwich
- Crispy Grilled Cheese Sandwich
- Organic Tomato Basil Soup
- Organic Chicken & Quinoa Soup
- Chocolate Pot de Creme
- Strawberries & Lemon Creme

If you happen to be in the area, you can find the new locations at: 39 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60603 and 3506 S. State St. Chicago, IL 60609.
