Creating a bit of a bread sandwich situation, the new Mochi Ice Cream Sandwich consists of a ball of ice cream wrapped up in mochi (traditionally glutinous rice pounded into a paste), placed between two soft cookies. According to My/Mochi, the new product is "inspired by the Gen Z consumer seeking multi-textured, joyful eating moments."
The gluten-free, single-serve sandwiches are available in two varieties: Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream & Sugar Cookie and Vanilla Mochi Ice Cream & Chocolate Chip Cookie. A 2.45-oz ice cream sandwich costs $2.99 (price may vary) and is exclusively available through the Gopuff delivery service.
