Review: Wendy's - Snickerdoodle Frosty Fusion

Wendy's Snickerdoodle Frosty Fusion next to a quarter.

Wendy's Snickerdoodle Frosty Fusion features a Vanilla (or Chocolate) Frosty swirled with new snickerdoodle sauce and topped with snickerdoodle cookie crumbles.

It cost me $4.19 for a small, and I went with the vanilla version.

Unlike a McFlurry or a Blizzard, the Frosty Fusion is only mixed for a few seconds (if that). The sauce remained mostly drizzled on the sides and bottom of the cup, resulting in a mild cinnamon note to the creamy Vanilla Frosty and a much sweeter, more pronounced cinnamon taste whenever the sauce was encountered. Interestingly, the sauce contained visible flecks of cinnamon.

The snickerdoodle cookie crumbles on top had the requisite mix of sweet vanilla and cinnamon flavors. They were super crunchy (although this experience may vary), providing a nice contrast to the smooth Frosty and liquid sauce.

Overall, I enjoyed Wendy's Snickerdoodle Frosty Fusion a good deal. I like snickerdoodles, and the flavor was captured well here. I especially liked the hearty crunch of the cookies on top as that can be hit-or-miss with this type of dessert.
