Taco Bell's Diablo Dusted Chicken Nuggets feature the chain's tortilla-crust, crispy-fried chicken nuggets tossed in a "bold, flavorful Diablo spice seasoning."
An order of five nuggets cost me $4.99.
The box felt very light, and opening it yielded a view of some rather small, reddish-orange chicken nuggets.
While small, the nuggets were tender and juicy inside with a relatively thick, crunchy shell. They were well coated with the Diablo spice seasoning.
Flavor-wise, the Diablo Dusted Chicken Nuggets were very spicy, but tasty. Unfortunately, my stomach doesn't handle very spicy foods so well these days, and was displeased with me for a day (my mouth, on the other hand, was fine). Beyond the heat, there was a bit of a vinegary tang and a pleasant seasoned flavor.
The nuggets went well with Bell Sauce, which provided a balancing creamy sweetness.
Overall, Taco Bell's Diablo Dusted Chicken Nuggets provided more heat than anything else on the Taco Bell menu that I can remember in recent times. The flavor was really nice, but it really does not feel worth it for the money (unless you get lucky with bigger pieces than I got).
