Review: Popeyes - Cheese Bites

Popeyes' Cheese Bites are lightly battered, fried cheese curds served with a choice of dipping sauce.

An order cost me $4.49.

The container had a good amount of Cheese Bites and offered better value than the chain's individual ("regular") sides, which cost the same but seem like less food. You can't choose these as a side option on a meal, though.

They forgot to give me sauce, but the Cheese Bites had enough flavor and were salty enough to eat as is.

Each Cheese Bite was hot but not tongue-burning hot. The batter was thin, but super crispy, and the cheese curds were creamy with a nice squeak and flavor.

Overall, Popeyes' Cheese Bites were really good. They had a nice crispy texture to go with a creamy interior and were tasty to boot. I don't have many options for deep-fried cheese curds near me, and none as far as fast-food restaurants go, so these were especially nice.
