Review: McDonald's - Buffalo Ranch Sauce

A dipping cup of McDonald's Buffalo Ranch sauce.

McDonald's new Buffalo Ranch sauce is described by the chain as "tangy meets creamy and mild-meets-wild as two iconic flavors come together to create something craveable."

I got the sauce with a six-piece order of Chicken McNuggets.

The Buffalo Ranch had a yellow-orange color to it.

In terms of taste, it came off as a creamy Buffalo sauce. The ranch mostly contributed a creamy base and tang rather than any herby notes, which left the Buffalo sauce to add more tang as well as a light to medium heat. It went okay with the Chicken McNuggets, which have a more neutral profile compared to McDonald's McCrispy Strips. The tenders might have filled in better for the missing ranch notes.

Overall, McDonald's Buffalo Ranch isn't terribly exciting, but it saves you the trouble of dipping chicken in Buffalo sauce and then ranch (or vice versa).
