Available for a limited time at participating restaurants, the new sandwich features the addition of Spicy Pepper Sauce (the same sauce you'll find in the Spicy McCrispy sandwich) to the signature Egg McMuffin combination of Canadian bacon, American cheese, and a fresh-cracked egg on a toasted and buttered English muffin. A Spicy Sausage McMuffin and a Spicy Sausage & Egg McMuffin are also available. As with their Egg McMuffin counterpart, the Spicy versions are like the regular version, only with Spicy Pepper Sauce.
No pricing has been announced, but it should be in line with the breakfast sandwiches' regular/non-spicy versions. At my local McDonald's in Los Angeles, the prices are as follows: $4.99 for an Egg McMuffin, $4.89 for a Sausage & Egg McMuffin, and $2.99 for a Sausage McMuffin (yes, that egg costs a little under $2).
