Tasting: Taco Bell - Okonomiyaki Burrito

Taco Bell's Okonomiyaki Burrito features pork carnitas, shredded cabbage, cheddar cheese, crispy red tortilla strips, okonomiyaki sauce, and Japanese mayo wrapped and grilled in a warm flour tortilla. It was offered as a limited-time item in Japan last year but I was able to try it at Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine, CA.

Taco Bell's Halloumi Crunchwrap was first released in Cyprus last November and then for a limited time across Europe in December. I was able to try it out at Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine, CA.

With another year of fast food reviews in the books, here are my top five picks for new fast food dishes in 2019 (in no particular order):

Tasting: Taco Bell - Oatrageous Taco

Taco Bell's Oatrageous Taco features seasoned Pulled Oats (in place of seasoned beef), chipotle sauce, lettuce, and shredded cheddar in a crunchy taco shell. It was first introduced in Finland in 2017 and later added to the Taco Bell menu in Spain. They plan to launch it across Europe by Summer 2020.

Tasting: Taco Bell - Lava Burst Hot Chips (Fries)

Taco Bell's Lava Burst Hot Chips (as in "fries") is a limited-time menu item over in Australia. It features seasoned chips (they call fries "chips" in Australia and the United Kingdom) topped with Lava sauce, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, and jalapeno slices.
